Waste-less this Christmas

Christmas can be a time of so much waste. We wanted to give you some tips for creating less waste and also being more eco-friendly.

  • Think before you buy… making sure that the gifts are actually needed before just buying for the sake of buying. So many gifts are wasteful and land up in draws, unused.

  • Reuse/ Recycle… A great way to have less environmental impact is to reuse- reuse old wrapping papers, shoe boxes or using recycled brown paper for gift wrapping. Avoiding anything plastic is also important.

  • Experiences over things… great gifts these days are ones where you can give an experience or adventure. Something like a massage or beauty voucher, or even a day trip to Rottnest is a great one too. There are so many options for kids as well, and guaranteed they will remember an experience far longer than they will remember a toy they played with for 5 minutes.

  • Eco-gifts… We love giving eco friendly gifts like reusable products. Stainless steel or glass water bottles make great gifts, and Keep Cups for coffee. You can also get stainless steel or glass straws. This is a great way to save the planet and save money at the same time. Most of these products are available at health food stores or online.

  • Gift of health… if you are still struggling with gift ideas. We are doing gift vouchers so you can give your loved ones a voucher to get their spines checked and get 2020 started with getting healthier.

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and if you are struggling with ideas, Dr Kelly is full of ideas.
